JJ McMahon is an Associate with the Mesa West Capital Originations team focusing on originations and execution across the western United States. Prior to joining Mesa West in 2025, Mr. McMahon was at Nextdoor, focusing on business development and strategic partnerships. Preceding his time with Nextdoor, Mr. McMahon worked for Merrill Lynch in the wealth management division where he served as a portfolio manager and financial planner for high-net-worth clients. Mr. McMahon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, with a specialization in Real Estate.
